The International Volcano Research Centre (INTLVRC) is happy and proud to offer several services to both the commercial, private and educational communities.
COMMERICAL
As an additional service, primarily to those industries, e.g., petroleum, construction, natural gas, etc., the INTLVRC provides several types of analyses of volcanoes. Specifically suited to the needs of such industries, who are doing risk assessment, the analysis will provide for a variety of analyses so as to allow an input to risk assessment with respect to both relatively short as well as long-range forecasting of an event for a particular volcano in the area(s) of concern. Available types of analyses, relative to volcanic eruption events are as follows:
Eruption Analysis & Forecast
A complete and detailed analysis of selected volcano with eruption forecasts for next project event, projected event with >50% probability & next projected event with >95% probability.
Volcano Explosive Index (VEI) Analysis
An analysis of selected volcano with respect to the intensity of past eruption and prognosis of future eruptive events.
Repose Analysis
An analysis of selected volcano concerning the dormancy of the volcano and a projection of the next forecasted event.
Volcano Frequent Eruption Analysis (VFEA)
An analysis of selected volcano with respect to the volcano's frequency of eruption.
Health Risk Assessment Analysis
An analysis of risks to the general public's health issues based on the various chemical/aerosol outputs from a volcano's eruption.
INTLVRC also conducts an "Educational Outreach" programme aimed at educating the general public about volcanoes in general and their effects and hazards to the global community. As a result, INTLVRC is happy offer the following services:
