Research Projects and Interests:

Recently developed and continuously improved upon over a period of the last fifteen years, a computer based long-range eruption forecasting programme, "ERUPTION" Pro 10.5. Research and refinement continue on this project which is now being used by various entities all over the world. The paper and actual code generated for this project has advanced to the point where it is was originally accepted for presentation at the 1996 National Convention of the AGU. Interest lies in the continued development and techniques into the relatively accurate forecasting of the world's most dangerous volcanoes. Other interest lies in the ability to do same for the shield type volcanoes about the globe. Continued visits to volcanoes, sometimes in the capacity of expedition leader, as funding and research interests arise is also a priority research agenda.
