H ello and welcome to the International Volcano Research Centre (INTLVRC) website. Our website has changed slightly beginning on 1 January 2009 due to semi-retirement for some of us and other causes, e.g., global volcano consulting actvities, lack of funding for some of our projects. Yet, we shall maintain, to a limited degree, these award winning pages. They contain a list of current eruptions, news items of interest, plus the ability of our visitors to submit questions, request volcano profiles, photos, copies of our articles, and a host of services that are still available. These pages are maintained by R. B. Trombley, Ph.D., Director & Principal Research Volcanologist at INTLVRC and Professor Emeritus at the Phoenix campus of DeVRY University. Geochemistry endeavours are maintained by Jean-Paul Toutain, Ph.D., Principal Research Geochemist who operates out of Toulouse, France, Software Engineering is maintained by Florin V. Ivan, BSCIS, MBA and Computer Operations are maintained by Phillip G. Andersen, BSCIS.

The "News" portion of the INTLVRC website will updated on the 1st day of each month as a minimum and as necessary thereafter, so feel free to check here often. Your comments and suggestions are appreciated; address them to the Centre at swvrc@usa.net or intlvrc-swvrc@usa.net. We hope that you will enjoy your visit to our website, find it interesting, informative, educational and will return often !
